Please meet Judy, Jon, Jordan (10), Max (8), Lyla (5), and Jack (2) as our July Family of the Month. The Solomon family lives in Clarksville. Jordan receives books from PJ Our Way and Max, Lyla, and Jack receive PJ Library books. Lyla is entering Kindergarten, Max will be a 2nd grader, and Jordan will be in 5th grade this coming school year. Jack will start preschool at Temple Isaiah in the fall. Jon is a Solutions Architect for Amazon Web Services. Read all about their love for PJ Library below!
How did you hear about PJ Library? When Jordan was born, we had several friends with young children who told us all about how great PJ Library is.
What are your favorite PJ Library books? Jordan loves getting to choose his own book every month. He’s already received so many amazing stories! The younger three love getting books in the mail every month as well. There are so many good ones! The Shabbat Box and Something From Nothing are two of our favorite books!
Why is PJ Library important in your home? We love holidays! We are always looking to make them special and more meaningful. Every season we pull out old PJ Library books to go with the holidays coming up and add the new ones we receive to our collection. It’s wonderful to have so many Jewish resources right in our own home library. We also love that our children get to see the holidays we celebrate, as well as our culture and values, reflected in the books we read.
What is your favorite PJ Library program? We loved Shabbat Tots! We moved to Maryland when our two oldest boys were 3 years old and 18 months. Shabbat Tots was the perfect way to immediately get involved in the Jewish Community. Max met his best friend (still to this day) when we joined in the middle of the school year. I also met lots of other moms and little ones who went on to start preschool with him.
