Women's
Philanthropy

Through an array of educational, social, and philanthropic programming, our Women’s Division educates, inspires, and connects Jewish women in Howard County.

Women's Philanthropy

Women philanthropists are the change-makers and community-shapers of the world. We are sisters and daughters, mothers and friends, compassionate and committed women at every stage of life and career. Federation's Women’s Philanthropy engages Jewish women in the fulfilling work of making the world a better place and building a better Jewish future.

LION OF JUDAH

Women who are a part of a household/family giving $5,000 or more to the Annual Campaign can become members of a nationally recognized group. These women proudly wear their Lion of Judah pins and play an essential role in creating social justice, healing the sick, feeding the hungry, preserving human dignity, and building Jewish identity.

POMEGRANATE SOCIETY

Women who are a part of a household/family giving $1,800 or more to the Annual Campaign can become members of a nationally recognized group. These women proudly wear a sterling silver Pomegranate pin, representing a commitment to saving lives, as well as to helping Jews in need around the world.

POM/LION CHAI TEA

Jewish Federation of Howard County's Women's Philanthropy presents a Pom/Lion Chai Tea, an exclusive event recognizing our Lion of Judah donors and Pomegranate Society donors. Schedule changes yearly.

GREAT CHALLAH BAKE

Our annual event brings together Jewish women and girls to make challah as one community.
