Making Masks for the Community

This month, Federation's FED TOV volunteers have stepped up to make masks for our community!

While speaking with local residents, Federation's Community Social Worker, Michalah Hoffman, realized that people in our community need masks. In response, Michalah, FEDTOV facilitators Marilyn Handwerger and Susan Horowitz, and 22 FED TOV volunteers got to work making masks, placing calls, and arranging deliveries of gloves and masks to those in need. Thanks to their efforts, 161 maks homemade masks have been made and delivered to residents throughout the county. And more will be made in the coming weeks!

Said one recipient, “Thank you so much, now my boyfriend is finally agreeing to wearing a mask. Your homemade ones are soft and comfortable to wear--what a great idea!”
