The Quirion Family

Updated: Dec 3, 2021

We are thrilled to introduce our December PJ Library Family of the Month! Annetta, Paul, Cecilia (7), and Robert (5) live in Columbia. Cecilia is a Kindergartener at Stevens Forest Elementary School and Robert attends Temple Isaiah Preschool. Paul is an Intelligence Analyst for the Air Force and Annetta is an engineer working for a medical device company. Read below to find out more about them and their love of PJ Library!

How did you hear about PJ Library? We heard about PJ Library through Paul’s grandmother, Joy Wasserman. She has been monumental in keeping Judaism and its traditions going in our lives.

What is your family's favorite PJ Library book? We love the books that come out during the holidays, specifically Rosh Hashanah, Sukkot, Hanukkah, and Passover. They help our kids connect with Jewish traditions and show diversity in how other Jews celebrate the holidays. Our son is also obsessed with Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins!

Why is PJ Library important in your home? Our kids are so excited when they have mail addressed specifically to them and have come to expect mail from their Bubbe and PJ Library.

How has PJ Library influenced your family's Jewish living and decisions? It has become part of the pile of books we read weekly. It has helped us stay connected to Jewish culture and traditions, especially during this year when we can’t go to shul or regular services.

What was your favorite PJ Library program? We love the outdoor programs. We learned about bees this summer because of PJ Library.

What is your bedtime routine with your little ones? We read books and sing lullabies.

We hope you enjoyed getting to know the Quirion Family this month! If you'd like to be featured as an upcoming Family of the Month, send Allison an email.
