Robert Danin, Senior Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center, will talk about President Trump's proposed Peace Plan. Danin has worked on Israeli-Palestinian issues from numerous vantage points, including at the White House and State Department, as a negotiator and diplomat on the ground, and as a scholar and analyst.
He headed the Jerusalem mission of the Quartet representative, Tony Blair, from 2008 through 2010, and served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, and as Acting Senior Director for the Middle East at the National Security Council. He was as a Middle East and Gulf specialist on the Secretary of State's Policy Planning Staff, and a State Department senior Middle East analyst. Prior to joining the State Department, he worked as a Jerusalem-based journalist covering Israeli and Palestinian politics. Dr. Danin holds a doctorate in the international relations of the Middle East from Oxford University.
