This year I had the opportunity to celebrate the high holidays in a different and special way.
I attended for the first time in my life a conservative service at Beth Shalom synagogue. The service was different from the one I know, and yet I felt I belonged. There is something in the high holidays that brings us together as Jews, because no matter where you are in the world, when you are with Jewish company you feel at home.
I also want to thank all for welcoming me to Howard County and for all of the wonderful people who hosted me during the holidays and made me feel like my own family back in Israel.
I am wishing you all a sweet year and can't wait to meet all of you.
