Shibley Telhami, a well-known expert on the Middle East, is the Anwar Sadat Professor for Peace and Development at the University of Maryland, College Park, and non-resident senior fellow at the Saban Center at the Brookings Institution. He is the author of “The World Through Arab Eyes,” published in 2013. Dr. Telhami has written op-eds for The Washington Post, Politico, and many other publications. He speaks extensively on the Middle East, and has appeared on NPR’s “The Diane Rehm Show.”
