When the first couple was created God says, "Go ahead and multiply.” (Gen. 1:28).
Our inherent responsibility, as humans, to propagate humanity in this new world begins with this directive. However, this command does not mean that God is indifferent in the unfolding story. In this course, we will study biblical views and attitudes on issues relating to the beginning of life as we consider questions such as...

What determines whether a woman will - or can - have children?

Can we discern from the Bible, at which point one is considered a human being, and how can we understand the issue of abortion in this context?

Does the bible say anything about the soul in these narratives?

Join us as we endeavor to interpret such varied meanings, messages, and implications on humanity.
Please have a Tanakh (Hebrew Bible, English translation is fine) for this course.
